Historical Background
The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at ALERT has a long-standing legacy in musculoskeletal care, initially established to manage orthopedic complications related to leprosy. Over time, it has transformed into a national referral center for trauma care, reconstructive procedures, and orthopedic rehabilitation. In 2014, recognizing the growing demand for specialized trauma and orthopedic services, the Federal Ministry of Health and ALERT prioritized the development of an advanced orthopedic center. Since then, we have expanded our capabilities through strategic partnerships and the integration of state-of-the-art surgical technologies.
