" As the Head of the emergency and critical care medicine department at ALERT Comprehensive Specialized Hospital, I am honored to lead a team of dedicated professionals committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research. Our department provides specialized services in rapid assessment and stabilization of patients with acute medical conditions or injured patients. As the same time the department is providing immediate life-saving interventions, ensuring efficient triage and resource allocation. Our department also provides treatment and monitoring for people who are seriously ill and in need of both life supporting interventions and intensive monitoring by well-educated specialists and nurses. We continuously strive to enhance patient outcomes through innovation, collaboration, and a multidisciplinary approach. Our team is also actively involved in training and research to advance medical knowledge and improve healthcare services. We look forward to further expanding our services and contributing to the hospital’s vision of becoming a national center of excellence. Historical Background
The emergency and critical care medicine department was established in 2018 in well-organized department to address the growing need for advanced emergency care and intensive care. Since its inception, it has evolved into a leading unit providing comprehensive care in emergency and critical areas. The department serves patients from every corner of our country.
Yearly Performance
Each year, the department achieves significant milestones, including
- Emergency and critical care department serve averagely 30,000 patients in emergency and around 450 patients in intensive care unit yearly.
- Our ICU mortality rate is less than 30 %.
- Our emergency room mortality rate is also less than 1%
- Significant decrement patients stay in emergency room more than 24 hours
- The department always give rapid response for casualties, pandemic or outbreak
- Our department use multi-disciplinary method to achieve good patient outcome
- We are conducting quality improvement projects every year
- The ECCM department is always actively participating in national emergency response calls
Qualifications & Number of Health Professionals
The department is staffed with a highly skilled team, including:
- 7 specialists in emergency and critical care medicine
- 15 general practitioners
- 75 BSC nurses including 7 emergency and critical care medicine professional nurses
Facilities and Equipment
The department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to ensure high-quality care including:
- Crash carts with all lifesaving drugs, defibrillators, mechanical ventilator, ECG, Ultrasounds, portable x-ray well equipped procedure room.
- Our ICU has 12 beds with advanced mechanical ventilators, monitoring machines and ABG machine.
